I n any or all of these cases, I can help! I am a full-time genealogist, and I have been for over 30 years. I cover a wide variety of specializations: Geographically, these include American research (all states), Canadian research (all provinces, including French Quebec), and the British Isles, including England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland, and also including Ulster Scots (Scotch-Irish); also Iceland, Germany, Switzerland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, France, the Netherlands, and Belgium.
When
ancestors migrated, it seems that their earlier past
often vanished in the mists of history. Consequently, and
because I cover such wide geographical areas, my most
sought-after skill is probably that of linking
generations where a significant move or migration has
taken place. For instance, connecting North
American ancestors to their forbears in the old country;
or finding out where great-grandma came from to Kansas,
and who her parents were. This is where folks often
become "stuck". I frequently hear clients
tell me such things as, "We know his father came
from New York, but we don't know where", or
"All we know is that he was born in Scotland".
