Design-Build

Design-Build Approach

Focused on teamwork and dedicated to working collaboratively, it is no surprise that a large portion of Windover’s work follows the design-build approach. It reinforces our partnership model for project delivery, leverages the expertise of every team member, and aligns budget, scheduling and construction objectives so all parties move through the project in unison. Key advantages to Windover’s design-build approach are:

  • Single point of contract responsibility
  • Efficient, cost-effective, constructable design
  • Enhanced control of schedule and budget
  • Improved coordination between designer and builder
  • Collaborative team approach
Rail Stop: a Turnkey, Design-Build Project

Turnkey Design-Build Approach

This model takes traditional design-build one step further by offering comprehensive management of all program elements for our clients. We assume the responsibility related to all construction, design and operational elements. As part of the turnkey approach, we manage the procurement of all assets related to the operations of our client’s new facility. This can include everything from furniture; IT and operating systems; to finishes such as signage and artwork; and depending on the need, amenities such as dishware, silverware, linens, and more. What makes this distinctly different from the traditional approach is that in offering turnkey services, we commit to working towards our client’s actual opening day, as opposed to a substantial completion date. This is because we are not just in it to build a building, but to truly see the process through to the point where our clients are fully operational.
