Windover Warriors top fundraising team

Windover Construction recently announced that its Windover Warriors was the top fundraising team for the 2015 Relay for Life event benefitting the American Cancer Society. Exceeding their goal earned them the distinction of a “platinum” team.

Almost $50,000 was raised by the 33 teams and 353 participants who took part in the annual fundraiser wich took place at Danvers High School on May 29.

Windover supports a number of worthwhile causes on a regular basis and is committed to giving back to the communities where its employees work and live. The team used the event’s “Send Cancer on a Permanent Vacation” theme to help create their unique team T-shirts.

“Relay participants, including me, all take part because we’ve been affected by cancer in some way,” said Stuart Meurer, vice president of Windover Construction, in a statement. “The Relay for Life event gives us the power to fight back,” “We encourage all of our employees to get involved and realize that this is our opportunity to honor cancer survivors, remember people we have lost, and help raise funds for the American Cancer Society.”

Windover, based in Beverly, creates custom homes, such as those at Summer Hill in Manchester, state-of-the-art commercial and institutional spaces, and urban multi-family communities.
