Originally built as a spec home in the 1960s with small rooms and dark millwork, this home was completely remodeled to open it up to the fantastic views and coastal landscape surrounding it. A complete gut renovation reconfigured the interior and on the exterior, large custom windows were incorporated to invite light into the home. A collection of modern and traditional architectural materials were used inside and out to give the 3,400 square-foot home a contemporary and understated feel.
Windover’s team worked in an open and collaborative manner with the designer and homeowner from the project start. The close and personal attention paid throughout the process is evidenced in the unique details incorporated throughout the home. Despite the complexities of fully remodeling the structure down to its original studs, Windover’s team successfully carried out the designer and homeowner’s vision and finished ahead of schedule, allowing the family to move in and enjoy their new home one month earlier than anticipated.
