TENNIS COMPLEX
The new Tennis Complex at Tufts University replaced the modular Temporary Student Housing that Windover constructed during the COVID-19 pandemic. The additional housing was no longer needed for the students, but the modular units had worn down the original tennis courts, so the University decided to replace the courts and surrounding areas. The Tennis Complex project included replacing the existing sod, trees, sports light poles, electrical equipment, and concrete foundation with new construction and updated equipment. The underground conduit, wiring, and existing irrigation system were all removed and replaced. Additionally, Windover installed new fences, poured new concrete pavement, and added a new scoreboard and portable bleachers for the spectators.
BASEBALL STADIUM
On an active, busy Tufts campus, Windover built a new baseball stadium around an existing field which included grandstands, custom signage, a press box, electrical infrastructure and site lighting, and a two story wheelchair lift. Our team used strategic coordination to accommodate the school and their athletics teams as well as other general contractors working on projects adjacent to the site to avoid disruptions to their daily activities.
