Windover provided preconstruction and construction for the renovation to Peabody Essex Museum’s 1987 Asian Export Art Wing. The scope included complete replacement of the lighting system and renovation of environmental distribution systems in all gallery spaces within the museum wing. The project also included a building envelope upgrade to the main gallery area to facilitate the future installation of a new humidified environmental control system. Additionally, a state-of-the-art AV system with integrated sound and lighting control was installed.

All work was performed concurrent to the delivery of the museum’s major gallery expansion and while the museum remained open to the public. Close coordination and sequencing were essential to ensure museum operations were not impacted during construction.
