Windover provided preconstruction and construction for the Curry College Learning Commons. Designed to promote innovation and collaboration, the Learning Commons supports the school’s dedication to co-curricular and curricular programming. The project consists of two phases. The first phase, the Science and Research Center, is a new, 22,000 square-foot, three-story addition featuring active learning classrooms, student collaboration spaces, laboratories for physics, chemistry, and research, and support spaces. The addition connects the adjacent Levin Library and Science Building to create a unified interdisciplinary learning environment for students and faculty alike. The second phase of the project is a 14,500 square-foot renovation consisting of a comprehensive renovation of the adjoining Science Building and selective renovation to spaces within Levin Library. Phase 2 features a café, quantitative commons, assistive technology lab, anatomy/physiology and biology laboratories, support spaces, and additional student collaboration spaces. The Learning Commons is pursuing LEED® certification.
