Several Windover employees recently volunteered at the annual Beverly Bootstraps’ Thanksgiving Food Sort program, where they had a fun time sorting, organizing, and stocking shelves with boxed dried goods, canned vegetables and food, and personal care products at the new Food Pantry location. In addition, our team toured the new facility and learned about the many wonderful programs offered by the organization to support their clients and the local community.
“The Thanksgiving Food Sort Program was very rewarding once again for Team Windover,” shared Windover’s Charlotte Johnson. “It is so wonderful to see the Beverly community at large pulling together to provide a full Thanksgiving meal for local families that would not be able to enjoy one otherwise. The healthy options presented to the families in need and the dignified manner in which Beverly Bootstraps distributes these meals is to be commended and Windover is so pleased to be a part of this process.“
Beverly Bootstraps depends on all of the food drives and donations to be able to provide a hearty Thanksgiving meal to 550 families in our local communities who are in need. For more information on when and where to donate food or to volunteer, visit the Beverly Bootstraps website.
