Windover was selected to provide design-build services for the new collections center at the Cape Ann Museum. The new building combines functional museum storage with a beautiful exhibit gallery. The use of pre-engineered building materials like insulated metal panels – creatively adapted to give the exhibit space an industrial feel – provides the necessary environment for a museum. A key challenge during the preconstruction phase included developing a state-of-the-art HVAC system that is cost effective while still meeting the curatorial standards required for the Museum’s exhibits and storage.
