Windover Announces Opening of Fourth Home for Veterans

Windover Construction recently announced the completion of our fourth housing project for homeless veterans in time for the holidays.

With the opening of Howard House in Brockton, Mass., Windover has opened over 175 homes for our veterans. Howard House joins Valley Brook Village in Lyons, NJ, Pleasant Street Apartments in Beverly, Mass., and Bedford Green in Bedford, Mass. in providing furnished apartments, common gathering areas, and service program space. Each facility contains 24/7 service programs to support each resident.

Together with its development partner, Peabody Properties, Windover Construction led the development at each facility and assured quality and well-designed homes were created. “All of us at Windover are proud to be a leader in helping to reduce homelessness among our veterans,” says Windover’s President and CEO, Lee Dellicker.

Each of these projects was made possible through multiple unique public and private financing sources. The Veterans Administration was instrumental in making these projects possible through a variety of grants, loans, and enhanced-use leases at surplus government land. “This is a true testament to what a committed public/private partnership can create,” says Dellicker. “I wish to thank each and every individual who took part in helping us create these beautiful homes”.
